An ApplicationMiracles can seem tricky. Namely, why are they so common in the Bible and not as common today? Some people who profess Christ as Lord don't even believe miracles ever happened because they haven't noticed them in their own life. But there's a strong correlation between level of miracle performed and amount of glory God will end up getting. And He doesn't do miracles to bolster our confidence/faith, that's not what they're for. They're to bring people to Him. Is that why we expect them?

Connect the DotsIn ACT 9:33, the guy had only been paralyzed for 8 years. Peter has already healed a man born lame in ACT 3:2-10. / Remember Joppa was where Jonah boarded his boat in JNH 1:3. / Peter has joined the elite club of people whom God used to raise the dead to life. Compare the two closest (but not only) examples in 2KI 4:32-36 and MK 5:38-43.
